A warm introduction to your perfect investor

David Lifson, Sr. Director at Poppin, and previous CEO of Postling and Head of Product at Etsy, covers how to find investors and get the best head start via a warm introduction.

Task

1. Become a part of your local startup community by attending meetup events, joining co-working spaces and applying to pitch competitions.

2. Use Angel list to research you ideal investors and any influencers connected to those investors.

3. Create a list of ideal investors that are most suited to your business, and of all the companies they have invested in.

4. Meet with these startups and convince them of the potential of your business, then use that to get a warm introduction to their investor.
