Identifying and converting the users needed to grow your market



Emmett Shear, founder at eSports streaming provider TwitchTV, talks about what groups to target when you want to know which features to implement, and how to identify the features they need, not the ones they ask for.







Task

1. Try to think of all users that may potentially be interested in your service to get feedback from, not just those that are already using it.

2. Figure out what users you need to convert to expand the size of your market, and then interview them.

3. Why don't they want to use your product?

4. What do they actually want (not features)? Construct the features yourself from what they want.
