Raise successful investment by understanding investor motivations

Daymond John, founder and CEO at clothing giant FUBU, and star of “Shark Tank”, explains that investors are people too, and so understanding their motivations is key to your success when pitching to them.

1. Thoroughly investigate the people you are seeking investment from and craft your pitch to appeal to them.

2. Know your financial numbers and have a plan to cover any skill weaknesses you personally have.

3. Practice your 90 second elevator pitch, make sure it doesn’t oversell and hits all of your businesses key points.
