Respond to user pains to turn them into your most powerful champions

Walker Williams, founder at custom T-shirt provider Teespring, talks about various ways of directly contacting your existing and old users that are unhappy with your product, and converting them into your most powerful brand champions.


1. Spend at least one hour going through your emails, tweets and other feedback and select comments that you could reply to.

2. Start a conversation with these users to see how you can improve your product for them.

3. Reach out to users that have left your product and try to find out why.

4. Search for social media communities where people are talking about your product to find out what they are saying – unhappy users are usually very vocal.

5. Send vocal users a friendly message to find out how you can improve your product for them.
